29th Aug 0900 hrs (MET); ADVISORY FOR HEAVY RAIN & WINDS IN LAND AREAS; Fairly strong gusty winds up to (40-50) kmph can be expected in the western slope of central hills, Northern, North- central, North-western and Southern provinces and Trincomalee.
The prevailed showery condition is expected to continue over the island. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the next 24 hours.
