Commission to be appointed to look into Airline issues

President Maithripala Sirisena has stated that a Commission will be appointed to look into the issues of Sri Lankan Airlines and Mihin Lanka -after the Bond Commission report has been submitted.

The head of state has emphasised that he will not give up his commitment towards clean politics, no matter what challenges he would come across.

The president also pointed out the need of strengthening the SLFP as a pure political entity, adding that a political movement that is loyal to the nation cannot be built without strengthening the SLFP.

Furthermore, President Sirisena stated that the local government elections cannot be won by means of state, capitalist or official power.

He added that this election is one which can be won with intelligence – given the new system.
