Sri Lanka has just announced the first death as a result of the deceased having contracted the global pandemic CORONA VIRUS or COVID19.
The death was of a patient hospitalised at Sri Lanka’s state run Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in a suburb of the capital Colombo.
The deceased was reported as being from Marawila, near Puttalam on the West coast of Sri Lanka. Patient was reportedly a diabetic who had undergone a transplant as well.
