The Elections Secretariat has received 56 complaints regarding election law violations. According to the commission, complaints were filed regarding delivery of goods and removal of poster cutouts.
Complaints were received from the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Galle, Matara, Anuradhapura, Kegalle and Batticaloa.
Furthermore, according to the Police headquarters, the past 24 hours saw six complaints being filed in this regard.
Some of the complaints filed were against displaying posters, banners and flags, driving vehicles, loudspeakers, vehicles and pasting of posters.
