INSEE Sanstha Wins People’s Award for Seventh Successive Year

Marking an unprecedented achievement in Sri Lanka’s construction industry, INSEE Cement’s most preferred and recognized brand Sanstha won the People’s Housing and Construction Brand of the Year for the seventh consecutive year at the SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards 2018.

Organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards is the only event in Sri Lanka where all nominees and eventually awarded winners are voted for by the public, making it one of the most anticipated events in the local corporate calendar. Today, the most renowned blended cement brand, Sanstha has held true to its legacy of high performance by winning the nationwide survey, providing comprehensive insight to the public’s allegiance to the brand.

Sanstha Cement sets the benchmark for blended cement products in the country; it was the first local cement brand to obtain not only the SLS 1253 certification, but also the British Standard Certification, a true testament to the superiority of the product compared to others available in the market. It is a finely blended and enriched with pure Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) that results in higher strength and durability of concrete, with an increased level of workability and significantly lower water demand. INSEE Sanstha was also Sri Lanka’s first cement product to be awarded the Green Labeling Certification by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL)

“We invest in researching on global construction trends to deliver the best solution-based products such as Sanstha to the local construction market,” stated Executive Vice President and Commercial Director of INSEE Cement, Jan Kunigk. “This has enabled us to adapt rapidly to consumer requirements, and win the public’s endorsement. We proactively extended Sanstha’s market presence in 2017 across the island to satiate the demand for locally produced, high quality cement. The response by consumers have been truly encouraging, voting for us as their brand for housing and construction once again. We promise to remain progressive, innovating products and solutions that are tailored to address their construction challenges in the future.”

As such INSEE Cement has started to introduce fly ash and slag based cement into Sri Lanka under the brand name ‘Marine Plus’. Marine Plus is superior to Ordinary Portland Cement (SLS 107) and is used in modern markets such as Singapore, Jakarta, Australia or the United Kingdom. INSEE Cement is the industry leader in innovation and highest quality products.
