Is the hospital risking all by delaying cremation of CV-19 death of popular restaurateur Dolce Samir?

The deceased was the owner of the popular La Dolce restaurant in Bambalapitiya.

It is alleged that he was admitted to Nawaloka Hospitals and was diagnosed with dengue fever and was not subjected to a PCR test upon admission since he had been diagnosed with dengue.

4 days later they did PCR then he passed away.

The Covid-19 regulations mean immediate cremation, which the deceased’s friends allege the hospital are not doing.

Instead the hospital is waiting on a financial settlement, although an amount  of Rs 1.1million has been paid as the bill for 4 days.

An amount of Rs 500,000 is requested as further payment.

Over to you General Shavendra and Minister of Health.
