The Joint Opposition (JO) says it would move a no-confidence motion in parliament against Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan in May.
JO member, UPFA MP Ranjith Soysa has told the media that the JO is currently engaged in discussing the matter at length.
The MP has further told the media that the JO is also planning on making representations to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya requesting the post of Opposition Leader of parliament.
Soysa has added that the issue would also be discussed with the 16 SLFP MPs who are to sit in opposition from the next session.
