Sri Lanka’s Marxist party, Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) has handed over the 20th amendment of the Constitution to the Secretary General of Parliament as a private member’s bill, to abolish the Executive Presidency.
JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake handed over the proposal to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya in Parliament this morning.
