Minister Susil Premajayantha says that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake are responsible of making former Central Bank Governor, Arjuna Mahendran return to Sri Lanka to address the charges leveled against him.
Premajayantha explained to the media that it was Wickremesinghe and Karunanayake who gave guarantees to the President about Mahendran to appoint him as the Governor of the Central Bank amidst objections raised against his appointment.
According to the Minister, the Prime Minister and the former Finance Minister has to now ensure that Mahendran comes forward to give a statement to the CID and face the charges leveled against him.
