Sri Lanka Police warns motorcycle owners

The Sri Lanka Police have warned of a significant increase in motorcycle thefts in various parts of the country.

Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana warned motor cyclists to take necessary precautions to prevent their motorcycles from being stolen.

06 motorcycles were reported stolen within the last 24-hours ending at 06am today, DIG Rohana said.

The motorcycles were stolen from the Embilipitiya, Mount Lavinia, Kurunegala, Katugastota, Puttlam and Koswatta areas.
