Death toll in Sri Lanka storm rises to 13, Ukrainian national among the dead
Death toll in Sri Lanka from floods and landslides in the aftermath of the Cyclone 'Ockhi' has risen to 13 the Disaster Management Center (DMC) reported.
The deaths are reported from Bandarawela, Hikkaduwa, Ambalangoda, Kosgoda, Kamburupitiya, Meetiyagoda and Madolsima. Death toll is expected to rise as more people are missing.
A Ukrainian national is among the dead in the floods in the South, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has confirmed.
According to the latest DMC report, 61 people have been injured 106,076 people of 31,165 families have been affected by the floods.
