Basil’s enjoining order extended
An enjoining order preventing the hearing of a case filed against former Minister Basil Rajapaksa before the Colombo High Court has been extended till the 18th.
The case on the alleged misuse of state funds to print and distribute five million almanacs with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s image during the last presidential election is to be taken up before High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunge.
However, the Court of Appeal has extended the enjoining order preventing the hearing of the case against Basil.
