Pilots guild, unions call for action against Sri Lankan Airlines management
Trade Unions at Sri Lankan Airlines state that the proposed restructuring of the national carrier must take place under new management.
The Pilots Guild too pointed out that if restructuring is to take place under the current management, the desired objectives will not be met. And that therefore it is important to recall that the Central Bank was plunged into scandal after the Prime Minister brought a friend from Singapore to head the hallowed institution.
Now, the national carrier is facing destruction following the appointment of CEO Suren Ratwatte, the brother of the Prime Minister’s close associate Charitha Ratwatte.
