Establishment of OMP is long overdue, Chairman says
Announcing the commencement of the much-awaited Office on Missing Persons (OMP), a statement issued by the Chairman of the Office said the establishment of such a mechanism is long overdue and invited the people of Sri Lanka to provide the commission the strength and support required to achieve the objectives of the OMP Act.
"In what we hope is a shared vision for lasting peace and co-existence, we invite the people of Sri Lanka to provide us the strength and support required to achieve the objectives of the OMP Act," the statement said.
