Sri Lanka’s UN mission in New York celebrates 70 Years of Independence with “Facets of Sri Lanka”

The Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations in New York hosted "Facets of Sri Lanka", a concert held in celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Sri Lanka's independence. The show, which was staged on 21 February 2018 at the Engelman Recital Hall of the Baruch College Performance Arts Centre in Manhattan, capped off a series of events the Mission organized during the month of February to commemorate the landmark occasion. Sri Lanka shares its peacebuilding experience with the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission

Foreign Secretary Prasad Kariyawasam, joined by the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy, and Secretary-General of the Secretariat for Coordinating Reconciliation Mechanisms Mano Tittawella, shared information on Sri Lanka's journey of peacebuilding with the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission in New York on 20 November.
