HRW calls on Sri Lankan government to announce a time-bound plan to implement UNHRC recommendations

The Sri Lankan government should announce a time-bound plan to carry out its pledges to the United Nations Human Rights Council since October 2015, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said yesterday. The HRW said at the interim update on Sri Lanka at the 37th session of UNHRC this week, the UN member countries should press Sri Lanka to ensure justice and accountability for the tens of thousands of victims of the country's three decade long war against Tamil Tiger terrorists.
