Norway extends partnership with UNDP to support resettled communities in Sri Lanka
The Government of Norway and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sri Lanka has agreed to expand partnership to promote local economic development in the North. Through the UNDP Norway provides funding for the livelihood development in the areas of fisheries and agriculture for returnees in Jaffna district.
UNDP Sri Lanka Country Director, Jorn Sorensen and the Ambassador of Norway to Sri Lanka Thorbjørn Gaustadsæther signed a partnership agreement to extend the Government of Norway's support to the recently resettled communities in the Jaffna District (with an emphasis on the Myliddy Harbor areas).
