The news today is that all of us in Sri Lanka must understand the low depths that some of our politicians dived down to – all in the pursuance of retaining political authority and administrative power in order that the country can continue to be robbed of its resources and other assets.
The news today is that some of these very politicians merely shrugged their shoulders in effect saying ‘I am alright Jack’ and ignored a full-on inquiry into the Easter Bombings of Sri Lanka.
The news today is that the people of Sri Lanka must verily note the callousness of our political and administrative personnel.
The news today is that while Sri Lanka moves on the 261 (8 chose to die) victims are slowly being forgotten.
The news today is: can we in Sri Lanka afford to put the reality that our politicians engaged in a pogrom of “KILLING FOR POWER” on the back burner?
Or should we collectively demand that our AKD delivers justice and equity for this sad event in our history?
And of course the news today is that the Catholic Church has recognized the 167 names of those that died within the Churches, as *Heroes of Faith*
