Two more individuals have been arrested by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) for being in cahoots with Zahran Hashim, the Mastermind behind the Easter Sunday chaos in 2019.
According to the Police Media Spokesperson, one of the two had provided shelter to Zahran and four members of his group in 2018.
The suspect has been identified as a resident of Kahatagasdigiliya and reported to have previously served as the assistant postmaster of the Mukariyawa post office in Kahatagasdigiliya.
The other has been identified as a 35-year-old resident of Kattankudy and was previously detained in Batticaloa prison.
He was arrested for propagating extremist ideologies and having ties with Zahran.
The duo will be detained and interrogated by the TID.
