Two persons have died while two others sustained injuries this morning (27) after being knocked down by the ‘Siyane Kumari’ express train en route to Matara from Kandy, the police said.
It was reported that the train has been stopped past Ragama railway station following the accident.
The trains that were scheduled to commute from the Ragama railway station have been delayed owing to the accident.
The injured persons are in a critical condition, according to the sources.
