The National Consumer Front (NCF) today claimed that the retail selling price of a kilogramme of vegetables has recorded a higher value.
Accordingly, a kilogramme of carrot has increased to Rs. 450, leeks to Rs. 350, beans to Rs. 430 and tomatoes to Rs. 300.
Therefore, NCF Chairman Asela Sampath requested people to refrain from buying vegetables during this festive season.
