Residents of Sri Lanka who wish to travel to the UK can now apply for their visas from the comfort of their home or office with VFS Global’ s On Demand Mobile Visa (ODMV) service, the British High Commission said.
British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Ambassador to the Republic of Maldives James Dauris, and Regional Director – South & South East Asia, UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Nick Crouch, officially launched the services in Sri Lanka at a ceremony held in Colombo on 5 April 2018.
Through this service, applicants can have VFS Global’s trained personnel visit their preferred location to accept the visa application and enroll biometrics on the spot.
This service is specially designed to cater to applicants’ convenience by providing a doorstep service with personalised assistance, while removing the need to visit a Visa Application Centre.
In addition, UK Visas & Immigration is launching its Super Priority Visa service for UK visa applicants in Sri Lanka. Applicants can opt for this service and receive a UK visa within 24 hours.
