The Met Department states that due to low level atmospheric disturbance over Sri Lanka, prevailing showery condition is expected to continue further. Cloudy skies are also expected over most parts of the country.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times, over most parts of the country, and the possibility for very heavy showers is high in the hilly areas.
Very heavy falls of above 150mm within 24hrs can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western, North-western, Uva, Northern and North-central Provinces and in Ampara and Batticaloa Districts.
Heavy falls of above 100mm within 24hrs can be expected at some places elsewhere.
