The Special cabinet paper for the reward scheme of Tokyo 2020 Paralympics winners submitted by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Namal Rajapaksa was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday (07).
On the request of Hon. @RajapaksaNamal a special cabinet paper was approved today for the reward scheme of the #ParalympicsTokyo2020 medal winners! Accordingly the entirety of the prize money will be allocated to medal winning athletes & the respective coaches! 🥇 🥈🥉#ජයගමු🇱🇰

The 32-year-old javelin thrower and war hero Dinesh Priyantha Herath won gold with a record-smashing throw of 67.79m on the F46 category.
Dulan Kodithuwakku won the bronze medal for the javelin throw in the F64 category Monday (30 Aug).
A total of Rs. 106.625 million has been allocated for the reward scheme.
