The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) says steps have been taken to prevent the US Dollar from overshooting.
The bank further said that regulatory measures will be taken against speculation and manipulation.
The public has been advised not to be misled by baseless claims in this regard, the CBSL added.
