Co-Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Rajitha Senaratne says that leaders of the United National Front (UNF) would meet today (10) to discuss the fielding of a common candidate at the next presidential election.
Senaratne has told the media that he has held an initial discussion on the matter with the Prime Minister and that the Premier has given a positive consideration about the matter.
The Minister has said that the fielding of a common candidate would be discussed with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) as well.
According to Senaratne, the yahapalana government would then continue till 2025.
