Minister of Highways, Road Development and Petroleum Resources Development Kabir Hashim says the country’s biggest betrayal resulted in the loss of 950 million USD.
Speaking in Parliament during the debate on the Vote on Account the Minister said the country lost many resources during the 51 days.
He said the biggest betrayal happened during the 51 days claiming the alleged decision to save the country, cost the country 950 million USD.
The Minister noted that 600 million USD of this sum, was spent during the 51 days to save the rupee from depreciating.
Minister Hashim said the country lost many resources as a result of the constitutional crisis.
This he said was the biggest economic betrayal of the country.
The Minister claimed that hunger for power hunger and the greed damaged the country adding correcting this mistake will take at least a year or two
