A hotel worker in Kurunegala has been killed after an argument over the price of a banana.
The suspect had entered a hotel with the intent of buying a single banana, after being told the price of the fruit was Rs 30 the suspect had gotten into a heated argument with the owner and employee of the hotel.
The suspect had left and returned with an empty beer bottle and then broken it with a metal bar in the area, using the weapon he had stabbed the owner and then the employee.
