Former Western Province Governor Azath Salley has been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack.
He is being treated at the National Hospital in Colombo and is not n a critical condition, a spokesperson of the hospital stated.
Mr. Salley is presently under detention orders and being held by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over controversial statements he had made in regard to the country’s law.
