The case of a 15-year-old girl being used in an online sex trafficking ring has taken Sri Lanka by storm.
Over 30 suspects, including a monk, have been arrested in connection to the case.
A complaint with the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) by the Kotuwe Podi Hamduruwo over social media posts linking him to the sexual exploitation of a 15-year-old in Mount Lavinia.
The monk who filed the complaint seeking action against the social media pages having slandered his name by linking him to the incident.
Kotuwe Podi Hamuduruwo said he will initiate legal action against these pages for publishing false statements against him.
