Suspects in Balangoda robbery under arrest
The two individuals who allegedly broke into a retail shop in Balangoda were arrested by the police.
The robbery took place on November 10, at a shop located located on the Colombo – Balangoda Main road.
According to the police, a sum of Rs. 1.2 million and several cash cheques had been stolen when the break-in occurred.
The suspects were arrested in Haputale and Rs. 600,000 in cash and a van were seized by the police. The suspects will be produced before courts today.
