Sri Pada pilgrims urged to refrain from bathing in Castlereagh and Maussakele reservoirs
Sri Lanka police request the Sri Pada pilgrims arriving through Hatton road to refrain from bathing in Castlereagh and Maussakele reservoirs.
The police say bathing in the highly dense and extremely cold water in the two reservoirs is dangerous and asks the pilgrims to use the safe places that have been set up by the Ambagamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha for bathing along the Hatton Road.
The police also caution the motorists to exercise caution when driving and parking their vehicles as the roads have numerous bends and slopes.
