Sri Lanka to gazette guidelines on adventure tourism by March 2018
Sri Lanka’s Policy Development Office said steps are being taken to promulgate regulations related to all adventure tourism activities in Sri Lanka.
Ten advisory committees have been appointed for each field of the adventure tourism service to setup international standards.
As per the initiative taken by the Central Programme Management Unit of the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs with Sri Lanka Tourism, the project being implemented by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
It will promulgate regulations related to all adventure tourism activities and limitations to industry such as carrying capacity limitations, safety requirements, and minimum requirement for registration as an adventure tourism operator.
