Bribery complaint against Malik

Former Kotte Mayor Janaka Ranawaka has filed a complaint against UNP Chairman, Minister Malik Samarawickrema at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption. The complaint has reportedly been filed against Samarawickrema claiming he has caused losses to the state by using a state land in an illegal manner.

Bribery Commission scrutinising bond scam report submitted by Presidential Commission

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption states that evaluations are being made with regard to the report submitted by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on the bond issue. Director General, President’s Counsel Sarath Jayamanne said he received the report on January 10. He added, studies are being carried out to determine steps to be taken with regard to the report.
