Weather: Met Department has released the forecast for today
Heavy rains of around 75-100 mm have been forecast for the following areas;
Western Province
Sabaragamuwa Province
Southern Province
Uva Province
According to the Met. Department, Sri Lanka is to expect thundershowers in the afternoon after 2 p.m.
Natural Disasters
Kegalle and Ratnapura has been given landslide warnings till this afternoon (November 9) and the public is asked to be vigilant over the matter.
Meanwhile the Galle – Baddegama main road has been flooded due to the heavy rains in the area last night (November 8).
According to the correspondents, the water levels receded by early this morning.
