All Ceylon Farmers’ Federation commends government’s decision to provide fertilizer instead of money
The All Ceylon Farmers' Federation yesterday commended the decision taken by the government to terminate the subsidy provided for the farmers to buy fertilizer in the future and return to the old way of providing required fertilizer directly to the farmers.
The National Organizer of the Federation Namal Karunaratna holding a special press conference in Dambulla said the federation appreciates the government's decision to provide the fertilizer again instead of the money.
He further said the farmers' organizations continually requested the government to make the change and they appreciate the government implementing their request as they expected.
