A protest was staged by wholesale vegetable traders from the Manning Market in Pettah near the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (07).
The protestors stated that the space allocated for them at the new location in Peliyagoda is insufficient.
As former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka arrived at location and attempted to calm the crowd. Meanwhile an argument between former Minister Patali and a protester erupted creating a tense situation.
