Weligama, Midigama, and Imaduwa areas in the Southern Province have been identified as hubs for the distribution of narcotics, said Police Media Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana.
He also urged the families of those addicted to drugs to obtain treatment for the addicted.
The police will conduct special anti-narcotics operations centering the above mentioned areas.
