University students gathered in front of the Galle bus stand today (22 Jun) demanding the repeal of the Kotelawala University Bill.
Ven. Peraketiye Sudassi Thero, convener of the Sisu Jana Vyaparaya stated that the previous government in 2018 tried to bring this bill back and they would not allow the ruling government to do so either.
