A 27-year-old was arrested in Mattakkuliya in possession of 1.07kg of heroin by the Colombo North Crimes Division on Monday (28 Jun), the Police Media Spokesperson stated.
The suspect’s vehicle and Rs. 289,000 worth of drug money were taken into custody.
Meanwhile, 02 individuals were arrested in drug busts carried out by the Mount Lavinia and Grandpass crimes divisions.
A 25-year-old was arrested with 50g of heroin while a 54-year-old, had been in possession of 18g of heroin.
The Police Media Spokesperson stated that Monday’s (28 Jun) drug haul is approximately valued at Rs. 12 million.
