The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to import 360,000 liters of liquid medicinal Oxygen in addition to the monthly general import of 120,000 liters.
The decision was made to ensure that Sri Lanka will have a sufficient stock of Oxygen with the rapid increase of Covid-19 infected patients in the coutry.
Senior Consultant Physician at the Infectious Diseases Hospital Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama said the oxygen produced in Sri Lanka will be insufficient in the near future.
