Another batch of the Chinese manufactured Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine has arrived in Sri Lanka on Thursday (22 July) morning, State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana said.
Two Sri Lankan Airline flights carrying 2 million doses arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) bringing the total amount of Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs received to 9.1 million.
The doses will be distributed in the following manner :
- Kurunegala District – 400,000
- Galle District – 275,000
- Matara District – 200,000
- Badulla District – 200,000
- Ratnapura District – 200,000
- Hambantota District – 125,000
- Puttlam District – 100,000
- Polonnaruwa District – 100,000
- Nuwara Eliya District – 100,000
- Ampara District – 100,000
- Moneragala : 100,000
- Batticaloa District – 100,000
