Bar Association President Saliya Pieris has questioned authorities on why authorities are lying to public on power cuts.
Last week media reported that there could be 10 hours of power cuts this week but it was denied by the Chairman of public utilities commission.
But today Public Utilities Commission confirmed that there will be a 10 hour power cut on Wednesday.
“We have a right to be told the truth and what to expect. This is an absolute shame that the people are being lied to by the authorities” Saliya Pieris tweeted. (NewsWire)
