The Colombo Fort Magistrate has issued an order to arrest former Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States, Jaliya Wickramasuriya.
Sri Lanka’s former Ambassador to the United States Wickremasuriya has been charged with criminal misappropriation of 132,000 USD during his tenure as the ambassador.
Wickramasuriya, who was arrested earlier on charges of theft, had left the country for treatment after obtaining bail from the High Court.The court also wanted the four individuals who bailed Jaliya Wickramasuriya out to appear before the Fort Magistrate’s Courts.
