The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) President Dr Anuruddha Padeniya has been placed under quarantine after a doctor who attended a gathering at the residence of Dr Padeniya has tested positive for Covid-19.
The virus-infected doctor is currently under medical care at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH).
Dr Padeniya said that although the Rapid Antigen test was negative he will self-quarantine until a PCR test is conducted.
