Two illegally imported luxury vehicles valued at nearly Rs. 40 million have been seized by the Sri Lanka Customs.
The vehicles were seized along with five vehicle spare parts and 1000 kg of turmeric powder.
The seizure was made by officials from the Grey Line Unit of the Customs Department.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the two luxury vehicles had been imported from England by a businessman in Colombo.
The container had been imported under the guise of personal goods and equipment.
