Sri Lankan musician and rapper Iraj’s Adambarai becomes first Sri Lankan Sinhalese song to go viral internationally on TikTok.
The song “Adambarai Baluwamanam” produced by Iraj featuring popular Sinhala Pop Singer Surenie and Rapper Killer B was originally launched in 2008 and occupied the number one spot in several Sri Lankan Music Chart Shows across TV and Radio channels.
The challenge was launched after an Indonesian DJ had remixed it and played it in a club.
The #AdambaraiChallenge, over five million (5m) views and over one hundred and forty thousand (140,000) videos featuring the song were uploaded by TikTok users across Indonesia by yesterday (29).
