A disruption of train services on the Kelani valley line was caused due to a tree which fell onto the railway track near the Dematagoda railway station.
According to the Railway Control Room, as a result, the train travelling from Awissawella to Colombo has been re-routed and is now travelling on the Baseline railway track.
Furthermore, train travel on the Kelani valley line has been halted until operations to remove the tree are completed.
