Support of all Muslims should be given to eradicate the Islamist extremism, says United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) parliamentarian Faiszer Musthapha.
Speaking at a press conference held in Colombo, the MP stated that persons who carried out the attacks aren’t Muslim and that terrorists have no religion or race.
Because of a group of people, the Muslim community is spurned in some areas, pointed out the MP.
The bond of communities with the Muslims has distanced and that they are working to repair these bonds and brotherhood, Musthapha said.
Requesting the society not to shun the Muslim community over an act of a few people, Faiszer Musthapha said that not considering that such a thing would happen is a mistake of Muslim politicians.
