Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says new laws pertaining to granting land on freehold will be tabled before Parliament.
Premier Wickremesinghe said the government aims to ensure citizens have sound education, health and ownership of a land or a house.
The Prime Minister was speaking during an event held in Nikaweratiya in line with the programme to grant 10,000 deeds.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe stressed the government has also planned to provide a number of concessions and provisions to strengthen the agricultural sector of the country.
Premier Wickremesinghe while claiming the government’s aim is to establish a democratic competitive economy and a just society said the government has established a competitive economy within the country.
